Leaving your child in safe hands
All English and Welsh based Emergency Childcare childminders are Ofsted registered and verified members of PACEY/CSSIW. Our Scottish based childminders are verified members of the SCMA and are regulated by the Care Inspectorate (SCSWIS).
The majority of childminders and nurseries you'll find on our website have been used and recommended by individual parents. If there's a local childminder you would like to be able to use that isn't already on our website, please complete our nomination form, and we'll contact them about joining.

Preparing for life's little emergencies
We advise parents who register with us to do a little research, so when you do need to use us you know exactly who your local childminders are.
- Search for their local childminders (and nurseries)
- Save favourite childminders for future reference
- Arrange to visit any childminders they're interested in
- Suggest other childminders they'd like to join
- Book a childminder space when it's needed
If your favourite childminder isn't already on our website, it's free and easy for them to register and they can enjoy many benefits.
In our experience, childminders are far more likely to sign up when parents like you introduce them to the Emergency Childcare service.
